Your Brand Is the First Thing People Feel. Make It Right.

Before someone reads your headline, before they explore your services, before they speak to anyone on your team — they have already decided how they feel about you. IBD builds brands that make that first feeling count in your favour — and sustain it long term.

Service Overview

A brand is not a logo. A brand is not a colour palette. A brand is the complete impression your organisation makes on every person who encounters it — in every channel, at every touchpoint, before and after they become a client.

At Innovation by Design, we build brands from the inside out: starting with strategic clarity about who you are, who you serve, what you stand for, and what makes you genuinely different — then expressing that truth visually, verbally, and experientially across every surface your brand touches.

Our brand strategy practice is built for organisations that understand the commercial value of a strong brand — that know the difference between competing on price and competing on authority. We build the latter.

We work with startups building their brand from scratch, with established businesses ready for a rebrand that reflects how far they have come, and with organisations entering new markets who need their brand to communicate the right things to the right people from day one.

In every case, the process is the same: understand deeply, define clearly, design distinctively, and build a system that holds together across everything your organisation puts into the world.

Why Choose Innovation by Design for Brand Strategy & Identity?

Strategy Before Design

We do not open a design application until we have done the strategic work. Understanding your positioning, your competitors, your audience, and your differentiators is what makes the creative output genuinely meaningful — not just visually impressive, but commercially effective.

Consistency Across Every Touchpoint

A brand that looks different on your website, your social channels, your proposals, and your printed materials is not a brand — it is a collection of unrelated visual decisions. We build comprehensive brand systems with guidelines clear enough that every output is unmistakably you.

Built to Last, Not to Trend

We do not build brands that look current in 2026 and dated in 2028. We build brand identities that are distinctive, timeless, and grounded in genuine strategic intent — so they hold their value as your organisation grows and your market evolves.

Brands That Win New Business

The right brand does not just look good. It builds trust faster, commands higher prices, attracts better clients, and makes every other marketing investment more effective. We build brands with that commercial outcome in mind from the first strategic session.

What is the difference between brand strategy and brand identity?

Brand strategy is the thinking: who you are, who you serve, what you stand for, how you are positioned relative to competitors, and what you want people to feel when they encounter your brand. Brand identity is the expression of that thinking: the logo, colours, typography, imagery style, and visual language that communicates your strategy consistently across every touchpoint. You need both — strategy without visual expression stays inside a document, and visual identity without strategy is just decoration.

A full brand strategy and identity project typically takes 6 to 10 weeks — covering discovery and strategy, concept development, design refinement, and final guidelines delivery. Simpler logo and identity projects can be completed in 3 to 4 weeks. Comprehensive rebrands for large organisations may take 12 to 16 weeks. We scope every project individually and provide a clear timeline before any work begins.

Not necessarily. Some organisations need a complete brand overhaul. Others need a brand refresh — refining and modernising what exists without losing the equity already built. We recommend what is genuinely needed, not what generates the most project scope. Our discovery process helps us establish honestly which category you fall into.

We start with a discovery session — a structured conversation about your organisation, your market, your competitors, your audience, and your goals. You do not need to come with a brief. We ask the right questions to surface everything we need.

Yes — always. Every brand project we deliver includes comprehensive brand guidelines covering logo usage, colour specifications, typography, imagery style, tone of voice, and application across digital and print. These guidelines ensure that everyone who represents your brand does so consistently.
